a reception takes place on the evening before the first class day of the respective class, where the students become acquainted with each other and the local conditions. the course passes will be given out at the same evening. these passes can be alternatively collected in the office of the summer academy traunkirchen.
the beginning of the classes is at 10 a.m. on the days indicated in the programme. the studios are open from monday to sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. the school hours are monday to friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
the facilities of the summer academy (partition walls, easels, tables, stools as well as a computer and a printer) can be used by students as a loan. implements, materials and working clothes should be brought along by the students. a shop with teaching aids will be established for the summer academy near the studio in a general store for the period of the courses. students can buy their work materials there to a reduced price.
the practical work in the studios will be finished on friday of the last course week with the selection of works for the final exhibition, which will be built up together and presented to the public on saturday as "open house". interested visitors will have the possibility to inform themselves about the methods of the summer academy, to see the displayed pictures of the students and to buy them. the classes end with demounting of the exhibition and handing over of the certificates of attendance.
